Emma Gj. Sejdiu is the COO and CFO of the law firm Sejdiu & Qerkini, L.L.C.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree at George Fox University in 2005, majoring in International Business and minoring in Economics.
After graduation she joined Walgreens as an Executive Store Manager, where she supervised a sales staff of 22 associates and handled an average of 500 customer orders per week. Apart from supervising, she was in charge of recruiting, interviewing and hiring staff.
She returned to Kosovo in June 2008 and was Hired by Management Development Associates as a Human Recourse Manager where among other things she built and developed the HR department of the company, managed and supervised employees, and recruited professional staff for clients in different industries.
Thereafter, she serves as the Executive Director of the Foundation for Healthy Mothers and Babies, a nonprofit organization. She established the Foundation in Kosovo, developed the HR department, created and managed donor relationships, raised 58,000 euros within the first year to finance the installation of a new oxygen system at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the University Clinical Center of Kosovo. Ms. Sejdiu has also served as the Executive Director of Orthlion, LLC, one of the few exporting companies in the country.
She supported the establishment of Orthlion’s sister company in Kosovo, developed administrative and financial policies and procedures, drafted working contracts for employees, managed client relationships, conducted inventory, and established an ordering system. Emma is married and has two wonderful children.
Apart from Albanian, she also speaks English and Spanish.
