Florent Zeqiri is an associate at Sejdiu & Qerkini, L.L.C. law firm. He passed the bar exam in Kosova in January 2019.
He graduated with an LLB degree from the Law Faculty of the University of Prishtina. From March 2016 until June 2017, he was engaged as a practitioner at the Notary Office Sefadin Blakaj in Prishtina, where he assisted in provision of various notary services.
At the same time, from September 2016 until February 2017, Zeqiri was part of the Demand for Justice program, implemented by the National Center for State Courts (NCSC) and funded by the US Department of Justice, where he served as an assistant to the criminal justice clinic, which enabled students to cooperate with KCA attorneys in providing pro bono representation in criminal cases.
In 2015 he was engaged as a student director at the Center for Human Rights and Gender Equality within the Rectorate of the University of Prishtina.
Florent was also a Fellow at the Konrad Adenauer Foundation for 6 months, a German foundation aimed at empowering young people in Kosovo to be part of future decision- making and to promote the values of democracy and justice in the country. In the past, he also membered the team that helped organize the first international student conference UPISC, held in May 2016. He has also participated in several summer schools and conferences both at the local and international level.
During his university studies, Florent participated in legal research and representation competitions, among which we note the Williem C. Vis competition for International Commercial Arbitration in Vienna.
In September 2017, he joined the law firm “Sejdiu & Qerkini, L.L.C.” as an associate.
Apart from Albanian, Florent speaks fluent English.
