Era Vitija is a dedicated legal professional who joined Sejdiu & Qerkini as an Associate in 2025. She brings with her diverse experience from both the judiciary and private practice, with a focus on commercial law and international criminal law.
She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Human Rights, International Criminal Law, and Transitional Justice at the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina”.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Vitija served as a Legal Officer at one of Kosovo’s largest commercial banks.
Her responsibilities included handling client legal matters, drafting complex legal instruments such as loan and mortgage agreements, and analyzing corporate documentation for compliance and accuracy.
Earlier in her career, she gained hands-on courtroom experience by supporting judges in the Civil Department, where she assisted in preparing rulings and documenting judicial hearings. She has also contributed to transitional justice efforts by monitoring war crimes trials before the Kosovo Specialist Chambers.
Ms. Vitija’s professional interests extend to legal research, field monitoring, and public legal education.
In 2024, she represented the University of Prishtina’s Faculty of Law at the International Nuremberg Moot Court, demonstrating her strength in legal reasoning and advocacy on an international platform.
Fluent in Albanian and English, Ms. Vitija has a particular interest in commercial law, judicial ethics, and the role of law in advancing accountability and human rights.
